3 Easy Herbal Brew Recipes

Once you've built up your own home apothecary - it's time to actually use those herbs! And this is the part where people get stuck; it's the #1 question I get asked: "How do I use my herbs?" I've found the easiest way is to simply make them into food and drink. And so, here are 3 delicious herbal beverages that are easy to make:

 

** So Chill Sparkling Spritzer **
This relaxing & cooling blend features:

* Lemon Balm: soothes the nervous system, particularly digestive stress
* Linden: another nerve-soothing herb that also has an uplifting effect in times of heartache or grief.
* Chamomile: eases tension in the gut brain and relaxes cramps and tight muscles.
* Fennel Seed: carminative that releases trapped air
* Licorice Root: an adrenal tonic that restores healthy cortisol levels

Directions: 
1. Throw 1-2 tablespoons of the dried herbs (except for the licorice root, you'll only add a small pinch) listed above into a quart of barely-boiling water and put the lid on top. 

2. Steep 15 minutes, strain, and while still warm, add honey to taste.

3. Mix with equal parts sparkling water.

4. Add a lemon, serve iced.



** Mate au Lait **
Trade your coffee in for this caffeinated, mineral & antioxidant-dense yerba mate tea blend featuring:
